Many items on these lists were things that current and past patients have suggested because they found them uplifting, thought provoking, and just fun! Stories That Heal

Stories That Heal is a free monthly event featuring local authors who have written books about their experience–or a loved one’s experience–with mental illness. Throughout the course of the hour, authors read excerpts from their book, share details about their life, and take questions from the audience.

UpStreet is a teen mental wellness program that offers drop-in consultations with therapists, scheduled therapy appointments, text-based peer support, and support groups for teens.
 
Market Square, Downtown Pittsburgh’s favorite public yoga series brings some of the city’s best instructors into Downtown for two weekly classes held in the middle of picturesque Market Square. Classes are free, but please, bring your own mat!

The Recovery Record app can be linked to the Recovery Record Clinician App for eating disorder treatment professionals, which gives your treatment team the full picture so they can easily track your progress and help you achieve your goals.

Designed to help those stay safe while having thoughts of suicide, MY3 is free and lets you customize your own personal safety plan by noting your warning signs, listing coping strategies, and connecting you to helpful resources to reach out to when you need them most. At your fingertips is a button that puts you in direct contact (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) with a trained counselor from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline as well as a 911 alert. Additionally, you can choose three people to contact in the event you’re having thoughts of suicide.
